About Us
Lauren and Matt make regular trips to the UK, Ireland, and Canada to continue their education and to stay up to date on any brand changes and product advancements. We also regularly set up at shows within our service area. If you have a show where you think our booth would be welcome, let us know! We love to meet folks and educate about saddle fitting and tack!
Lauren is a Society of Master Saddlers Saddler Apprentice. As part of her apprenticeship she became a trained and skilled saddle fitter. The SMS apprenticeship program lasts 7 years. Lauren will complete the process by 2026 to gain her Master Saddler Certification.
Lauren has selected all the brands of saddle that MASTR sells - 5 brands of new saddles meeting a variety of price points and customizable options for clients and their horses.Those brands are Albion, Berney Brothers of Ireland, Bliss of London/Loxley, Passier and Cavaletti.
Lauren is also a LANTRA Certified Bit Fitter.
Lauren also recommends a variety of products (Leather care, half pads, stirrups, leather goods, and bridles and bits) that she has in stock or can order for clients at very reasonable prices.

Matt
Matthew is a Certified Saddle Ergonomist and has also attended the Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitter Course in the UK. He has been riding and caring for horses since 2010. Matthew helps Lauren with repairs in the shop and in finding and selecting used saddles for clients. Matt has all the brands that MASTR carries for fittings and will help Lauren with Bit and Bridle Fittings, and on site adjustments.
Partnerships
We work closely with a number of consignment stores in our area, to ensure that our clients have access to high quality variety of used saddles. We are happy to shop for you or with you to pull options for your horse.
We also work closely with a network of fitters and saddlers around the world to ensure we have the best options for our clients. We also provide training for customers, pony clubs, trainers, and people interested in the field of Saddlery or Saddle Fitting in the US.
