We offer Saddle Fitting, Bridle Fitting, Bit Fitting and Saddlery repairs. We sell 6 brands of saddle and work on any brand of existing saddle. We don't sell used tack but we work with several consignment stores to ensure our customers have access to saddles in a price range that they need.

Saddle Fitting Assessments

If you are curious about the fit and function of your current saddle, we are happy to come and take a look. We will teach you what we are looking at, and how it impacts your horse in the positive or negative. During these appointments we will look at balance, discuss clearances, and show you how to assess your saddles function and fit on you horse statically and in motion. 

Saddle Sales Appointments 

If you know or suspect your saddle doesn't work well for you or for your horse, we will bring you a wide variety of saddles, starting with finding the right tree and fit for your horse, we will test various saddles and various changes to improve your horses comfort and your comfort. While we don't have every single possible combination in our inventory, we usually have enough options to get you and your horse assessed and happy to then order the right combination of specifics to make you both happy. We carry a wide variety of saddles on various trees, and with different flaps, panels, and sizes to ensure we can get to the right fit with our clients. 

Saddle Repairs 

All saddles are an investment, and all of them need to be maintained with routine maintenance. Foam wears out, leather tears and becomes thin, billets needs replacement, and flocking needs adjustment and replacing. While the noble field of saddlery has lost many great craftspeople to retirement over the past decades, Lauren and Matt have taken up the mantle here in the US and are helping to keep the craftsmanship and skill alive. There are lots of various repairs that we will undertake, from strip and full reflock, to repanelling, to flap repair, we do it all, with direct and extensive training for European master saddlers. 

Public Education and Training for Saddle Fitters and Saddlers

Lauren spent years as an educator and loves to teach and present about saddles, saddlery, and how to maintain tack and leather goods. Lauren travels to speak and teach and loves talking to Pony Clubs, rider groups, hunt clubs, and professionals. Lauren has also written and developed the curriculum for the Mid Atlantic Equine Trade School and the testing standards for the only independent saddle fitter certification option worldwide.
